Questions to ask a wedding venue in Lebanon.

19 October 20268 min read

Ask every wedding venue in Lebanon about power, end time, parking, permits, restrooms, catering rules, the deposit and the rain plan, and get each answer in writing. At Qasr Noun in Ain Anub, the package includes a 150 kVA generator, the night until 1:30 AM with no extra-hour charge, parking organised at the gate and restrooms.

This checklist is written for Lebanon: generators instead of a steady grid, mountain roads, deposits in dollars. Where our published facts cover a question, you will see how Qasr Noun answers. Where they do not, we say so: ask us as you would ask anyone else.

How to choose a wedding venue in Lebanon

Settle four things first. Your seated guest count, not the invitation list. Your month: a July night and an October night ask for different venues (see the best time to get married in Lebanon). Where guests travel from. And your budget, set against what a wedding costs in Lebanon. Then shortlist three venues, with our region-by-region guide to wedding venues in Lebanon if you need a start, and ask each the same questions.

Power: how big is the generator, and who pays for the fuel?

At the start of 2026, private diesel generators supplied about half of the country's electricity and the state utility, EDL, about 31 per cent, according to figures being compiled by the Lebanese Centre for Energy Conservation and reported by The National. State power comes for a few hours a day, at unpredictable times; Human Rights Watch put it at one to three hours a day in 2023. A wedding runs on the venue's own generator.

Ask its size in kVA, what runs on it at once, how many hours of fuel are on site, who pays for fuel, and what happens if it fails. Venue cards in our cost guide range from two 40 kVA units to 250 kVA with a backup.

At Qasr Noun: a 150 kVA generator is part of the full package. Fuel and backup are not covered here; ask us, and get the answer in writing.

What time does the night end, and what does overtime cost?

Ask when the music must stop, whether that is the venue's rule or the municipality's, and what each extra hour costs, for the venue and for every supplier. If the party moves to an after-party area, ask where, and until when.

At Qasr Noun: the whole day is yours, until 1:30 AM, with no extra-hour charge.

Parking, valet and traffic on the access road

Ask how many cars fit, who directs them, and whether there is valet. In January 2026 the ministries of Interior and Tourism capped the official valet fee at LBP 400,000 per car (LBCI); decide whether you or your guests pay it. On a mountain road, ask who coordinates traffic with the municipality, and where a coach can turn.

At Qasr Noun: parking is organised at the gate. For valet and coaches, ask us.

Fireworks, sound and municipality permits

Ask which permits your night needs, for fireworks or amplified sound in the open air, who applies, who pays, and how much notice the municipality wants. Ask what is allowed: fireworks, cold sparks, confetti, candles near old wood.

At Qasr Noun: sound and lighting, dry ice and cold-spark volcanoes are part of the full package. For fireworks and permits, ask us.

Restrooms: how many, and how far?

Ask how many there are, permanent or portable, how far from the tables, whether the path is lit, and who keeps them clean through the night.

At Qasr Noun: restrooms for guests are part of the package. Tell us your guest count, and ask to see them on your visit.

Catering exclusivity, corkage and alcohol

Ask whether the venue has its own kitchen team, an approved list of caterers, or no rule at all, and what it charges if you bring your own. If you supply wine or spirits, ask about corkage, the fee a venue charges to open and serve bottles you bring. Ask who runs the bar, who supplies ice and glassware, and how many waiters serve each table.

At Qasr Noun: food and beverage by our own team is optional: a full buffet with chefs on site, ten waiters and a captain, service cutlery, and a welcome drink for every guest. For outside caterers, corkage and the bar, ask us.

Which suppliers are allowed, and when can they set up?

Ask whether you may bring your own sound team, florist, photographer, zaffe troupe and cake. Ask when suppliers can arrive, when everything must be gone, whether a drone may fly, and where the crew eats: they work all night too.

At Qasr Noun: the whole day is yours, from the first setup. Sound and lighting, chairs and tables are included, and planners can book a private preview any day. For outside suppliers and teardown times, ask us.

What is the weather plan for an outdoor venue?

From 2015 to 2024, Ain Anub averaged under three rainy days a month from June to September. May brought about five, and October about 33 mm over six or seven days, with nights near 15.3 °C (month-by-month weather). Ask any outdoor wedding venue for its covered option, who pays for a tent, when you must decide, and whether there are heaters.

At Qasr Noun: the weather plan is not covered here. Ask us about your month.

Guest transport and the drive home

Ask where coaches drop guests and when the last shuttle should leave. Ain Anub is about 14 km by road from the airport and 15 to 20 km from central Beirut (distances and drive times). A 32-seat bus with driver cost about $400 for ten hours in our cost guide. For family flying in, read about a destination wedding in Lebanon.

At Qasr Noun: guest transport is not covered here; ask us.

The deposit: how much, and when is it refundable?

Ask how much confirms the date, in what currency, cash or transfer, and when the rest falls due. If a contract calls the deposit "non-refundable except in serious cases", ask what counts as serious: a security situation, a road closure, a death in the family, an illness. Ask who decides, and whether you get cash, a credit or a new date. Have it written into the contract, and keep every receipt.

At Qasr Noun: a 35% down payment confirms a date. Refund terms are not covered here; ask us, and read them in the contract before you pay.

Date changes and cancellation

In June 2026 one planner told The Beiruter that around 80 per cent of couples had postponed or moved their wedding abroad. Ask how much notice a date change needs, whether the deposit moves with you, which dates are open, and what happens if the venue cancels.

At Qasr Noun: date-change and cancellation terms are not covered here; ask us before you pay.

Do you need a wedding coordinator in Lebanon?

Someone has to run the night: the timeline, the suppliers, the cue for the zaffe. Ask whether the venue provides a coordinator, whether one is obligatory and at what cost, and how they work with your planner. Lebanese planners rarely publish fees; ask whether yours is flat or a share of the budget.

At Qasr Noun: our optional food and beverage service comes with ten waiters and a captain, and planners can book a private preview any day.

Wedding venue prices in Lebanon: reading the quote

A planner told The Beiruter in June 2026 that venue rental in Lebanon ranges from $7,000 to $30,000, and food from $60 to $120 a guest before drinks. Ask what hours a quote covers, what is included (power, furniture, sound, staff, restrooms, parking), whether it is flat or per guest, and what is added on top.

At Qasr Noun: the full package sits in the lower half of the published Lebanese range (how pricing works). Send your date and guest count, and see what the wedding package includes.

Questions, answered

How do I choose a wedding venue in Lebanon?

Fix your seated guest count, your month, your budget and where guests are travelling from. Shortlist three venues, visit each at the hour of your wedding, and ask each the same questions: power, end time, parking, permits, restrooms, catering rules, deposit and refunds, date changes and the weather plan. Get the answers in writing.

What questions should I ask a wedding venue before booking?

Ask the generator's size in kVA and who pays for fuel, when the music stops and what overtime costs, about parking and valet, permits for fireworks and sound, restrooms, whether the caterer is exclusive and what corkage costs, which suppliers you may bring, setup hours, the rain plan, and when the deposit is refunded.

How much does a wedding venue cost in Lebanon?

A planner told The Beiruter in June 2026 that venue rental ranges from $7,000 to $30,000, depending on location and what the space includes. Food runs a further $60 to $120 a guest before drinks. Compare quotes line by line: hours, power, furniture, staff and restrooms.

Is a wedding venue deposit refundable in Lebanon?

It depends on the contract. If it says the deposit is non-refundable except in serious cases, ask what counts as serious, who decides, and whether you get cash back, a credit or a new date. Get that written into the contract before you pay. At Qasr Noun, a 35% down payment confirms a date.

Do I need a wedding coordinator in Lebanon?

Someone must run the timeline and the suppliers on the night. Ask whether the venue provides a coordinator, whether one is obligatory and what it costs, and how they work with your planner. Lebanese planners rarely publish their fees, so ask whether the fee is flat or a share of the budget.

What does Qasr Noun include, and how late can a wedding run?

The full package includes sound and lighting, dry ice and cold-spark volcanoes, chairs and tables, a 150 kVA generator, parking organised at the gate and restrooms for guests. The night runs until 1:30 AM, with no extra-hour charge. Food and beverage by the venue's own team is optional. Exact prices are quoted for each date.
