Qasr Noun is an open-air heritage estate in Ain Anub, Aley District, high above Beirut: an arcade of five pointed arches, stone courtyards, olive terraces and a balcony where the sun sets into the sea. It opens for weddings in summer 2027. For a dry outdoor evening in Lebanon, June to September is the safe window.
Outdoor weddings in Lebanon happen on beaches, in hotel gardens and on mountain estates. This page is about the third kind, and about what any couple should check before trusting a Lebanese evening to the open sky. We are Qasr Noun, so we describe our own estate first. Then the honest part: the months that work, the sunset, the cool after dark, power, sound and rain.
An open-air estate: the outdoor spaces at Qasr Noun
Qasr Noun is a restored estate in Ain Anub, in the Aley District, high above Beirut, with views over the city and the Mediterranean. A lintel over one doorway is carved with the year 1895. The wedding happens outside, in the spaces between the old buildings.
| Space | What it is | What it suits |
|---|---|---|
| The arcade | Five pointed arches along the front of the house | The vows, then dinner beneath the arches |
| The balcony | Looks out over Beirut to the sea | The sunset, portraits, a toast |
| The olive terraces | Old olive trees on terraces | A long table, a garden lunch |
| The olive tree | An old olive tree | Engagements in the afternoon light |
| The fountain courtyard | Close and quiet, enclosed by stone | The Katb Kteb, a small dinner |
| The lantern lane | The stone lane into the estate | The arrival, lit by candle |
| The 1895 door | A doorway with its year carved above it | An entrance |
| The tower | A tall stone facade | Lit until the last song |
Guests move with the evening: vows under the arcade, the sun going down from the balcony, dinner beneath the arches, and the last song by the tower. The whole day is yours until 1:30 AM. Weddings begin in summer 2027.

Garden wedding venues in Lebanon: garden or estate?
A garden wedding usually means lawns and flower beds. The garden at Qasr Noun is olive trees, stone walls and terraces, with stone and gravel underfoot. That changes a few practical things.
- Shoes. Tell guests to expect stone and gravel. Block heels and flat shoes are kinder than stilettos.
- Shade. Afternoons are warm. In Ain Anub the average daytime high is 29.8 °C in July and 30.0 °C in August. Start a summer ceremony late in the day, and seat older guests in the shade of the trees or the arcade.
- Light after dark. Every path between spaces should be lit, not only the dance floor. Sound and lighting are part of the package at Qasr Noun; ask any venue which routes are lit.
Which months work for an outdoor wedding in Lebanon
The table below comes from our month-by-month weather guide, built on ten years of reanalysis data for Ain Anub and central Beirut. Read it with your guest list in mind.
| Month | Days with 1 mm+ rain, Ain Anub | Average low, Ain Anub (°C) | Average low, Beirut (°C) | Sunset, 15th |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| May | 5.4 | 14.6 | 18.3 | 19:31 |
| June | 2.2 | 17.6 | 21.6 | 19:50 |
| July | 0.5 | 20.2 | 24.4 | 19:48 |
| August | 0.3 | 20.5 | 24.9 | 19:23 |
| September | 2.2 | 18.8 | 23.4 | 18:43 |
| October | 6.6 | 15.3 | 20.3 | 18:03 |
Weather: Open-Meteo historical reanalysis, 2015 to 2024, at Ain Anub village coordinates and central Beirut, as published in our guide to the best time to get married in Lebanon. Sunset in Lebanon local time, summer time until the end of October.
June to September is the safe window for an open-air evening. Across the decade, Ain Anub averaged between 0.3 and 2.2 rainy days a month in those four months. May and October bring milder days and a real chance of rain, five to seven rainy days a month on average. They are good months for a calmer calendar, but only with a rain plan agreed in advance.
July and August are also the busiest months, when families abroad fly home. If you want a peak Saturday, choose the venue first.
Sunset timing: plan the evening around the light
Work backwards from sunset. The best light for photographs is the hour before it, and from the balcony at Qasr Noun the sun goes down into the sea.
- June and July. Sunset near 19:50. Vows under the arcade around 18:30, portraits in the last hour of light, cocktails as the sun drops.
- August. Sunset around 19:23. Move everything about half an hour earlier.
- September. Sunset near 18:43. Guests driving up from Beirut on a Saturday afternoon need time; build it into the invitation.
- Early October. Sunset near 18:03. The evening starts early, runs long and turns cool.

Evening cool in the mountains
This is the strongest case for an outdoor wedding in the hills rather than by the sea. By day, Ain Anub is only 1.3 to 2.7 °C cooler than central Beirut. After sunset the gap widens to 3.7 to 5.0 °C, in every month of the season. A July dinner at 20.2 °C is comfortable in a suit. The same dinner at 24.4 °C on the coast is not.
In late September and October the arithmetic turns the other way. An average October low of 15.3 °C means a wrap for older guests and heaters near the tables. Put a line about the evening on the invitation.
Power: what an outdoor night runs on
Outdoors, everything electric runs on the generator: sound, lighting, the kitchen and any effects. At Qasr Noun the full package includes a 150 kVA generator, along with sound and lighting, dry ice and cold-spark volcanoes, chairs and tables, parking organised at the gate and restrooms for guests.
Capacity is not the whole story. When you compare venues, ask each one for the generator size in kVA, the hours of fuel, the backup, and who looks after it during the night. For reference, the two venue rate cards in our guide to wedding costs in Lebanon list two 40 kVA generators for 12 hours, and a 250 kVA generator with backup. The full list of what our package covers is on what the wedding package includes.

Sound and neighbours
Under the open sky, music carries. Qasr Noun stands in a village, and an outdoor venue anywhere has neighbours. Every venue sets its own hours: at Qasr Noun the night runs until 1:30 AM with no extra-hour charge. Other venues publish different rules. Beit el Qamar in Deir el Qamar lists a 3:00 AM music curfew on its Arabia Weddings listing, and Pleine Nature moves its optional afterparty to a separate area from 2:00 AM in its 2026 offer.
Ask every outdoor venue four things. Until what hour can music play, and is that the venue's rule or the municipality's? Where do the speakers point? Are fireworks allowed, and through which supplier? And what happens if a neighbour complains? A clear answer now saves an awkward conversation at midnight.
What to ask an outdoor venue about weather
The spaces on this page are open-air. If you are looking at a shoulder month, ask us, and every venue on your list, the same questions.
- Rain. What is the plan if it rains, who pays for it, and by what date must we decide?
- Heat. Where is the shade for an afternoon ceremony, and for older guests?
- Cool. Are heaters available for October evenings, and where would they stand?
- Ground. What surface is the dance floor on, and do chairs sit level on it?
- Light. Which paths, steps and restrooms are lit after dark?
- Moving the date. If the forecast turns, can the date move, and what does the deposit cover?

Other outdoor wedding venues in Lebanon to compare
